Teaching

The IRIS Lab offers three undergraduate courses that allow students to learn about lab techniques, diverse entomology concepts, and outreach education:  "Ants & Microbes" (BSC 2930), "Leonardo's Mechanical Dragonfly and the Evolution of Flight in Insects" (IDH 3931), and "The Hidden Language of Nature:  The Golden Ratio in Arts and Nature" (ZOO 4926).  To see more pictures, please visit the teaching photo gallery.

CURE Course - "Ants & Microbes"

This course allows students to participate in the IRIS Lab's research projects in a unique classroom environment.

CASE Course - "Leonardo's Mechanical Dragonfly and the Evolution of Flight in Insects"

This course takes an interdisciplinary approach to learning about the mechanisms of flight and culminates in an outreach project.
